SCULPTURE

In addition to oil painting, I have began to create sculptures that will eventually be bronzed. Although mostly self-taught in sculpting, I did take classes at the Art Institute of Chicago and studied at the studio of sculptor Omri Amrani, noted for his sculpture of Michael Jordan at Chicago's United Center, home of the Chicago Bulls.

As this facet of my work progresses, representative pieces will be added to the site. Some of my works-in-process are shown here.

FYI -- In sculpture, a maquette is a small model in wax or clay, made as a preliminary sketch, presented to the client for approval of the proposed work, or for entry in a competition. The Italian equivalent of the term is bozzetto, meaning small sketch.
